Overall I am very pleased with how it turned out. Also got an unexpected speed increase of 3-4 mph. My batteries are 2018 so I think once those go I will be converting to lithium for my next big upgrade. Between now and then I'll just add little things like new bumper, led lights, etc. Couldn't have done any of what I have done so far without searching this forum, so thanks for all the informative post over the years for me to search through. Here is a before and after pic. Next project I will take more pics.

Thanks Luke. It's all thanks to PingEye3's design. With a few small changes.

New to me 18 Onward had dead batteries and a dead SOC meter so thats what I just did to my cart lol

Added a set of Trojans t-875s so I get longer than 3 min run time

Then I added a SOC meter from Scottyb from Carts Unlimited. He was very helpful with some email questions and getting it shipped to me fast! Very good first impression, ill be back for more!

I love this gauge and being able to see the actual voltage vs just a bar meter. I also ordered it with his bezel part and it made the install simple maybe 5 min. My stock one popped out and this new one popped right in. No trimming of anything and the bezel covers any gaps perfectly! Took a measurement at my batteries this morning while on the charger and got 51.71 and the SOC meter was reading 51.7

Is this just a drop in motor? Or do you have to add other components for this mod? I have a 48v ezgo. Stock controller and I get 16-17 mph.
