Old Gas EZ Go timing
I have an "87" EZ Go with a Robin 2 cycle engine.
When U let off from speed coast a bit then step on it again it back fires I am guessing the timing is off a bit Can anyone tell me how to set it? Thanks Last edited by SkyRaider; 10-05-2008 at 03:42 PM.. Reason: add pics |

Make sure the carb throttle plate is closed ALL THE WAY when you let off of the pedal. Right now it is open a little and letting the motor suck fuel when the spark is off.

If the throttle plate was open just a bit and the motor spins with no fire it would still draw fuel into the case and cylinder and then backfire when you push the pedal and add spark.
