Increasing Speed?

I was wondering...I've read about every forum I can find about increasing speed. I don't really need the torque since I'm on flat ground so, with that being said, what is the cheapest way to increase speed. My 48 volt 1999 CC is series stock. I don't want to spend alot of money because I can't justify it to my wife, she's the boss and don't you guys act like your wifes aren't.. What do you suggest. I've looked at PQ and but everything I've found listed is for later models....You guys know everything so give me some ideas that won't break the bank! I'm a poor boy with caviar dreams!

put a 36v motor in it! i did that to mine and it goes 18mph. i found a old used one for 50$

Thanks everyone for your replies. Swan I guess I'll try calling PQ and find out a price...I see the 225 but its for new model CC. I imagine/hope its cheaper...but you know it won't be..prob more!

Subscribed, I have a 94 CC DS 36v motor and battery would love to go faster. I noticed the PQ bandit is 48v motor which I can't even move to if that's true. The converting to 48v seems pricy and involved if I've read thing right.

The Bandit 48 volt series motors will work on any 48 volt series Club Car 10 spline...............this is the same bolt and spline set up going back to the mid 80's. I have a huge stock of these motors, $225.00 plus a $30.00 core charge and you keep your core or send in your motor and save the $30.00 core charge..........you'll find it cost more to ship me your motor than the core charge.

Cool so we get to keep our motor...the way I was reading, prob under the influence of my pain meds, was I had to send in my motor for you guys to "rebuild". guess I was having one of those senior moments. Prob be giving you guys a call this week, with the blessing from the warden (aka: wife). Will going with this motor give a significant increase in speed. I know I won't start pulling G-forces but will it be noticeable. I don't know how fast mine goes now, I'd say what ever stock speed is based on other CC.

So is it safe to say I have a 10 spline motor? Or was there another option?
