Default 05 Yamaha G22e looking for more speed

A friend of mine bought a 05 G22e. He's a little frustrated with the top end speed on it. What can he do to get more top end?

I'm not a sparky guy But I wanna help.....

A G22e could have had a GE or Moric controller. The GE is high enough amp rating it can handle a high speed motor swap (I use to do alot with High Torque, till they were bought out by "snivel") the Moric..not so good. What will the car be used for ? Flat no problemo, hills/towing...real problemo depending on the controller. You could have a dealer turn up the the "regen setting", you could disconnect the motor sensor lead that would stop regen and anti run away features. If you turn sparky....I'm done with you

I installed a Flight systems 2-speed controller from Plowmans. I picked up roughly 10mph on my lifted cart.

I got a new high speed motor and have the Moric controller. Been running them for about a month now with no issues. Am getting about 29MPH now with 215/35x12's. Its almost too fast.

It was a $400 upgrade when I purchased the cart from Desert Golf Carts.
