Looking at 2 Carts ! could use some advice

Hi guys.. new to the golf cart world..
Looking at 2 carts! would love some feed back from you guys on what one you think is a better deal ? or better cart???

1# 2006 E-Z-Go Freedom SE model ...36V ... light kit .. like new. $2,000

2# 2004 Yamaha with a Factory High Speed Rear-End ..48V.. light kit $1,750

The cart will be used around my horse farm.. some small hills on the drive way.. let me know what you guys think on these 2 carts !

I am not a sparky guy. but I believe you will get questions about battery age. That will determine the better deal.

The Ezgo batteries are from the year of the cart 2006

The Yamaha batteries where "reconditioned" 8mos ago the owner said ?

Batteries on the Ezgo look like NEW.. the Yamaha Batteries are almost new.

I've had both a Yamaha and an Ezgo, both series carts from the late 90's. Yamaha is a better riding cart and better built IMO. Ezgo's are cheaper when purchasing repair parts.
There are more aftermarket accessories available for the Ezgo.
As long as the Yamaha will crawl around your property to your satisfaction with the HS gearing, that would be my choice.
The term "reconditioned batteries" does not mean much to me and I'm not sure what exactly they mean.

I believe reconditioned batteries are cores that are put in new shells. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Reconditioned batteries are rinsed, refilled, and recharged ..... no amount of snake oil reconditions a wet cell lead acid battery... recons last up to 2 years... mainly because they are only 2-3 yrs old when 'reconditioned'
The 2006 batteries are on their last leg. I replace 2006 batteries steadily now. High speed gears have no place on the farm, the motor will build excessive heat going slow in high gear......So ask the dealer for a price on the Ezgo with new batteries in it
