Default Yamaha Drive 2 Upgrade Altrax or Navitas

The new cart is a 2017 yamaha drive 2 DC with with a lift, rear seat and 22" tall tires. Right now it has the stock controller reprogrammed by Yamaha, stock Hitachi motor and I'm getting about 18/19 MPH.

I was thinking of doing the D&D motor and the Altrax 500 amp controller.
Obviously a little more speed and torque. I would need to upgrade solenoid right?

For the $$$ would I be better off going to and AC conversion?

Looking for something simple, plug and play..

What are your thought?

Thanks Dave, is the Drive 2 considered a YDRE cart? I was looking at that exact kit before I started this thread.
for another $500 i can go Navitas AC, and from what I've read the Navitas is a huge improvement.
Again looking for plug and play if possible i just did a club car and a TXT recently and looking for a simple solution. i guess im getting lazy..

I swapped to AC with Navitas. The best part is that the controller can be locked out via Bluetooth to prevent drive-off theft. The on-the-fly programmer is also nice if you want a different level for guests or kids. Speed increasing or limiting is handy as well as torque for hills or quicker take-off. The adjustable regen is good for slowing the cart without using the brakes.

What were the performance results from the lithium swap?

It's difficult to say if the performance gains are from the lithium upgrade, the 2ga wires, or the loss of 200+ lbs., but likely a combination of all three. The cart is absolutely quicker and more nimble. It feels awesome.

I went Eco Battery because of the warrant and SOC meter. One single battery left me a lot of storage space under the seat.
