I missed the fun.

Upside down Sam rides off into the sunset never to be seen again!

Unlikely I think. She will be back, the lights need rewiring.

Hang on to your hats guys

Hahahah you guys are a trip! My favorite strangers!

CartMaster, you are correct lol ordered new headlights (should arrive Friday), since the previous Ding dong owner cut these ones for square lights :)

I also have multiple switches on the dash
The silver switch underneath is the only one hooked up as the main switch

Is that piece to the right of the gauge not a key switch? if so it should be your " Main " switch and can be put back into use rather than use the toggle switch you have currently.

I am sure someone will confirm. I dont know Yamaha carts, but it sure looks like a keyswitch to me.
Turn it anti clockwise, Pull it and see if a key pops out,

You are slowly getting your cart looking and working good. Over time it would be nice to replace that dash and fit nice OEM switches to finish it off. ( it will never be finished. You will always find something else to do to it to make it yours )

Lets face it, new batteries, new controller, paint job, lights going in this weekend, your cart deserves all the love it is getting from both you and members of BGW.

Remember, you started out this project with a basket case and you have done all the work on your own. Be proud of yourself with what you have done so far!

I want to thank everyone on your behalf that has added their information and encouragement so far and particularly ScottyB and the BGW collective for making this happen.

Definitely could not have done ANY of this without the help of you guys, especially Scotty and Cartmaster!!

Yes, that's the key. I can switch it from the toggle switch below. Not exactly sure what the other 2 ate for on the left..whatever accessories maybe? The red being headlights?

Question: Does anyone know what is suppose to go under the foot step area on the rear? Something is missing, it's only attached to the frame on each side. I would imagine something went in the center to help support it...very heavy foot rest to just be held on the sides. I felt it move the 1 time I stepped on it

Most rear steps I have fitted are not supported in the middle just as yours is, and extra side support from the side rails. I know some guys add a support rail that goes further under the bagwell and some use a tow hitch to help support the foot plate.

That’s pretty typical. Some seats have a triangular bracket that supports the foot step from the handle tube. I guess that one doesn’t.
