Default RXV sometimes won't move, then it does ???

Cart is an RXV 2009 converted to 48 volt, runs well except sometimes it won't move in either direction, if I wait a short while it runs fine as it should ??
Batteries are fairly new Trojans and kept clean, charged and all terminals checked for tightness.
Anything I can do as a novice to remedy the problem or am I on the way to the repair shop ?????????
Thanks
PS runs fine and quite fast at 29.3 MPH

The RXV came as 48v only, nothing to convert. When the cart runs 29+mph, what controller do you have? (max speed with the stock Danaher controller is 19.5 mph). When the cart fails to run, does it pass the on-self-test? You'll find a description of the start sequence in the enclosed Danaher Troubleshooting Guide, with a lot of useful info.

A simple thing to check is make sure both pedals are pulled back when turning the key on. The springs can get weak and the cart won't pass the start up test if they're not fully "off".
