Morning, Has anybody done the Navitas upgrade yet on the Yamaha ?

Been looking for a new cart and checked out a few so far, wanted to stay with top 3 Club Car, EZGO and Yamaha but I see updating it to go faster is not so easy anymore. The Icon we test drove did an easy 27 and it's easy to get more... dunno why the top 3 decided to inhibit us from going the speed we want...

Thanks

Mike

I'm with you, don't know why Yamaha limits speed to 19. Some will tell you because it's a legal thing, but but Icon and Evolution carts do it all day long...Icons can be flashed to do 35.....I would get a Navitas controller if it didn't void my warranty, my cart is new....Yamaha does offer a better ride than most manufactures except for Club Cart I have been told.

My cart comes with 20.5 tires, 23 tires would get me a little more speed but again, yamaha doesn't have a lift kit for their independent suspension yet

Honestly, I'm not sure the IRS makes much of a difference. I bought a 2021 Yamaha Drive2 PTV Powertech to replace my 2018 Club Car because I thought the ride would be smoother with the IRS, but honestly, I don't there is much of a difference. The guy I sold the Club Car too put a lift on it and says it rides even smoother than before.

Wow 33 MPH is fast for a golf cart. Other than on the street, I can't imagine going that fast in my cart. Even then the suspension would yield a rough ride.
