Default 2005 G22 goes a foot then stops

Hello, first post so bear with me please.

I’ve got a 2005 Yamaha G22e. When I press the accelerator it travels about a foot then stops. It won’t do that again unless I flip the tow switch on and back off. Solenoid clicks so I don’t think that is the issue.

Where do I go next?!? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Bad batteries. When you press the throttle, how low does the pack voltage drop?

First, I’m brand new so I want to make sure I am testing it correctly—held my voltmeter to positive on battery 1 (running to solenoid) and negative to battery 6 (running to controller).

I got 51v when still and 50.9v with throttle all the way down

throttle all the way while car is trying to move still or when its stalled, you want to check for the drop in voltage just before it cuts out trying to move not after it stops running...and that is the correct battery placement to check

Ok I tried again and it dropped to 49v right before shutting down.

Mine's a 2008 but that's how mine started, then it finaly completely quit. A new solenoid fixed it. At first, it would go about 100 yards before I needed to cycle the tow/run switch. Before long the distance was down to just a few feet. Ordered the new solenoid from Plowman. Of course your results may vary.

Solenoid is brand new. A local shop told us to replace that first, and it’s still happening
