Default Ezgo rxv deluxe light kit.

What is this used for? Can it affect the brake lights. Everything works except the brake lights and I can’t figure out why they don’t work.

It looks like it may be some sort of timer module for the brake lights. Somebody who has firsthand experience with these kits should chime in shortly...

A similar question came up recently about that device and it does look to be a brake light timer.

This thread has some discussion on it but one poster in reply #11 said it isn't needed on an RXV: https://www.buggiesgonewild.com/showthread.php?t=131972

I don't know the manufacturer of your particular light kit, but do they have a tech support line?

The picture is what it should look like. I have my red and white wire switched. I had red to positive and white as the extra and need to switch them. Can I just switch the wires or do I have to put the cart in tow and remove the main negative and positive wires to keep from getting any voltage? I don’t want to fry anything out while switching the wires. Thanks

Just to be safe, disconnect a battery cable and flip run/tow switch to tow.
