48v Yamaha dead
My friend has a 48v Yamaha that quit on him. It was acting like the batteries were dying so he put it on the charger and now it won't do anything. Won't move, no backup alarm in reverse. All batteries are at 12.5 and the pack is at 50v, which seems a little low for fully charged? What should we be looking at first?

Re: 48v Yamaha dead
Try resetting the system by following the directions on the tow/run switch.

Re: 48v Yamaha dead
I don’t have any instructions on how to reset using the tow/run switch on mine? I may be overlooking something plainly obvious but I am having similar issues.
I just cleaned and refurbished the stop switch and the cart no clicks with the slightest pressure on the gas pedal. However, no movement. My concern is that it has a short, a bad controller or the motor is foul. Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: 48v Yamaha dead
Cart solenoid does click now? That's a good sign for your controller. Usually failed controller does not activate solenoid. I would pull motor before going any further, a bad motor can wipe out a good controller easily.
