This is what I use on the mega difficult brake bolts.

I used a socket with a breaker bar. Hard but it worked. Assembling it now. Brakes seem to be working.

It was a success! Not an easy job, for sure, but it worked. I ordered the parts in a kit from an aftermarket supplier that makes a complete rebuilt set for these brakes. It included the friction disc, and all five pads and four metal plates. The price was under $200, and after an adjustment the cart stops perfectly.

Wow! That's a great price! Yamaha wants nearly 3x that much. I didn't know such a deal existed. It's a simple, but very funky system, isn't it?
