Default 2017 Yamaha Drive2 / Stiff Ride

We bought a 2017 Yamaha Drive2 PTV a few months back, and installed a Jakes 3" Spindle lift , with 14" Rohx Vegas Rims/ 22" Rohx Road Hawk D.O.T. Radial tires running at 10psi. Max psi is 20psi

We ride around town, on 6' wide sidewalks, and the ride is really stiff. I also posted about a month ago, we had a bad tire which felt like a egg, out of round. Rohx sent us a new tire/rim combo , but I still feel it.

The dealer we bought the lift kit, tires, rims from said to much time has gone by, and they are within tolerance, all though I did-agree. It still feels like the tires are egg shaped

We sold our 2015 Club Precedent, which had a Madjax 6" A-Arm lift, 23" A/T Predator tires, on 14" rims, and I can tell you that cart ran allot smoother around town. You didn't feel every bump, and it wasn't stiff at all.

Were now thinking of selling the Yamaha, and buying a CP Onward, but we would like to exhaust all options, before loosing thousands selling the Yamaha

Is their anything I can do so soften the ride on the Yamaha ?

Maybe switch the tires, and go with a beefier A/T tire rather then a street tire?

Any help would be appreciated before I decide to sell it

Thanks

You could install the Gas cart springs from 2016 (not 2017). That would be a lighter spring.

Do you have a part # ?

Would these work better ?

Do you think that would make the ride less stiff?

I'm trying to find them, thanks

That's the exact one I'm talking about, for the rear.

Thank you. I wonder if they will fit with the shock towers, on a drive 2 with a Jakes Lift

I emailed the seller, he wasn't sure

They look like they have less coils for a smoother ride

I'll still be ok with a rear seat?

We only have someone back their once in a while, like once every few months

Handling with 4 passengers is gonna suffer pretty bad, since you are making it Not-Heavy-duty. Those springs are for the back only, won't fit the front.

OK thank you I appreciate it

Your confidant they will fit?

I'll go ahead and try them .

I remember we thought the club president had a stiff ride also, and we switched to the Dual Action heavy duty springs in the rear and they really worked well.

I appreciate the help you might have just saved us thousands from having to sell this one and buy another golf cart

Thumbs up Re: 2017 Yamaha Drive2 / Stiff Ride

It's a whole different golf cart! Shocks fit just like OEM, and the ride is so much more comfortable! I can go over bumps at full speed now !

Do they make ones for the front also so it's no so stiff?

Thanks again!
