Looking for g29 updated clutch kit
New member here. I have a 2008 Yamaha g29 with the team clutch’s. I noticed the other day that the secondary clutch doesn’t want to close all the way all the time, sometimes it will sometimes it won’t. I also noticed that the belt is out of alignment. I haven’t done anything with moving the motor or anything that I can think of that would put the clutchs out of alignment. I’ve seen a few post on here about that issue and am hoping if I get the updated clutch kit it’ll fix that problem also. I’ve called plowman’s, partszilla, and tnt and all said they were on back order, and have no eta of when they will be getting them. I guess my question is does know of anyone else I could try? or is there anything I could do to try and get a lil more life out of them till someone gets some. I’ll try to post a picture of the belt EF7833C7-712E-4D78-A107-53CBA0CECAEB.jpg

Re: Looking for g29 updated clutch kit
You’re right that’s out of alignment. Not as much as you’d think because once the clutches start to open it will even itself out, but probably a good 1/4”-1/2” off still.
I don’t believe the YDRA had motor mounts like the earlier models did, but I do believe there was some adjustment on the motor where it mounts to the cradle itself. Those holes should be slotted somewhat. If you loosen the 4 bolts you should be able to slide the engine over some. I’d also make sure the front isolator of the cradle isn’t gone or destroyed. As for the clutches themselves, I’d wait for plowmans to get them in if they’re waiting on a shipment. It’s worth the wait for the best. Don is awesome with these things and will set you up right |

Thanks I will look at the mounting bolts this afternoon and see if I can move the motor over a bit. I’ll also check the isolator.

Re: Looking for g29 updated clutch kit
I have an upgraded clutch kit NIB that I am willing to sell.
I see in your picture that you already have the upgraded primary running with the original secondary. It might worth looking in to the price of the new secondary and a new J55 belt. |

Mine is new.
The kit includes both primary and secondary clutch plus the J55 belt. You really only need the secondary and maybe the belt but I cant break it up. Message me for price. |
