Hi:

Here are a couple pictures of my 1986 Club Car with a flip-flop rear seat. It currently has a 6-inch A-arm lift; however, I'm in the process of upgrading to the All Sport long travel lift.

As for the rear seat, I like having it. Only complaint is that it is a very shall seat (sitting area) that makes it difficult to sit in comfortably. It feels like you are going to slide right off the seat, and you would if you didn't hang on to the handrails.

I have unbolted the seat and slid it back, and it is much more comfortable to sit in. I'll probably just leave it there and forego the flip-flop function.

I have seen rear flip-flop seats that have a larger seat area and are supported by brackets when in bed position. If I had it do over, I'd purchase one like that. Live and learn.

I don't recall the manufacturer of my rear seat. I purchased it on eBay.

I'll second the aluminum rear seat brs has. I have the one with the folding footrest on it as well. you would be surprised how many times it comes in handy to fold it out of the way. for example there is no way i could get my cart into the shed at the cg without one. also my lifted cart has a custom hitch on it. It makes it much easier to change attachments as I don't have to reach under the seat to do it.

Here is a link to the cheapest place I could find them when I bought mine.http://www.golfcarcatalog.com/catalo...d=1629&id=3415 however one of the site sponsers here may be able to get it for better. it will be dropped shipped from the manufacturer anyway. It was m&m manufacturing as I recall. Only thing I did was to drill out rivits on the hinge and replace them with short stainless steel button head bolts and nuts as the rivits seemed to be pulling out. Of course this might have been due to the Large amount of firewood I was hauling on it at that time.

4vertical, good idea replacing the rivets...I need to do that. First time I trailered the cart wind go up underneath the seat and slammed it, looseing all the rivets! My rear seatbelt is two fold, keeping kids in and keeping the seat down!

I actually ordered a box of 1/4 in button head bolts, washers and nuts from mscdirect.com. I liked these soo much i have one of these seats on each of my ccs. I put the button heads in the hinge area and the nuts to the seat side. I did this with the seat removed and then took a cut off wheel and made the blots flush to the nuts so not to snag the seat and rip it. come to think of it I also covered the exposed aluminum edge with door edge guard from the autoparts store. this keeps the kiddies from possibly hurting themselves on it.

Here is how mine is mounted. notice how the rear struts are mounted? I swapped them left to right and put them on top of the bed. this moves them backward a few inches for extra top support and they are also a bit longer on the top this way. It also allows them to be bolted a bit better to give the top a LOT more rigidity. another benefit is that it raises teh rear of the top a couple extra inches for more headroom. of course if you are running a stock top throw that all out the window.

sorry I only have a picture of my non lifted cart from the rear 3/4 shot.

Well I will admit....on a recommendation from a few people, I ordered the Rocky Top rear seat. It is pretty cheap price wise but quality wise as well. The instructions sucked and the way it was packaged I ended up cutting the seat in a few spots. I re-upolstered it with better material ($12) and upgraded a few pieces of hardware and now it works pretty darn well. My only complaint now is the foot rest/base is a bit flimsy but we have put it through the ringer with a bunch of drunk fat bodies showing it no mercy and suprisingly it has held up just fine. All in all its not bad for the money. I think they even gave me a military discount.

That aluminum one is sharp.....especially that fold-away foot rest. I wish I would have known about that one.
