Default 2016 g29 DC or 2021 AC?!?!

Million dollar question…. Add a Navitas AC kit with new batteries to my ( currently DC) 2016 G29 with a ROUGH riding 6” A-arm lift ooooooorrrrr, sale it outright and buy a 2021 Yamaha Drive with OEM AC kit and Trojan AGM batteries that has a supposedly smoother riding 3” RHOX spindle lift. Cart is used 90% smooth road neighborhood cruising.

My cart in Red…. Potential cart to purchase in blue.

Would cost me about 2K more to buy the 2021 Yamaha after trade.
Mainly trying to see which option makes more sense. We ride multiple times a week through the neighborhood in flat Louisiana.

I'd go with the blue one. My '05 G22 has the RHOX 3" and 22's. Rides very smooth...

That’s where I’m leaning. Love my G29 but wouldn’t mind upgrading cart and getting an AC system at the same time. I’ll probably throw a small-mid controller at it some point to increase overall speed but that’ll be down the road I suppose.

Don’t think they make an aftermarket controller to replace the factory AC unit on the Yamaha but not 100%

I am confused. I thought all of the G29 Yamaha electric carts came with AC motors only??

Definitely not! Most are DC. The G29 has been around for a long time. The AC versions are fairly new.

Navitas does. It brought mine top speed to like 34-35 MPH, with the stock motor.
