Still have a few things I would like to do. But I am at a good spot I think. Full body kit, added rear seat, voltage reducer, customer built console for switches and GPS and finally a custom bumper.

Even when I go for a long ride. I can’t imagine needing a GPS. I see lots of people installing them on here. Is it for when you travel with it? Or just because as humans, we love gadgets?

SNR, If I had not just got a new one for the truck, I probably would not of installed it. But being that I had it, I figured I would use it and be able to see the MPH and the trip mileage. Trip mileage more for another gauge for the batteries. That is, use the average distance and amount of charge on the charge meter to see how the batteries are holding up.

Ahh good idea. I wasn’t even thinking about speed or mileage.

Pulled the old batteries and the C42 conversion kit out of the old 89 DS. Gave it a bath and fresh coat of paint.
Then we installed a new Admiral motor for the next project with this cart. Unfortunately the old motor was welded on with rust and didn't survive the removal. I guess that's to be expected after 31 years of service. I did put anti-seize on the new motor for the next guy

Finally put the lift kit on. First big upgrade to the golf cart since the body kit which wasn't hard. Lift proved to be a little more difficult only because a few bolts were locked in and had to replace them. Also ended up ordering new front hubs and new bushings for shocks. Overall I am very pleased with how it turned out. Also got an unexpected speed increase of 3-4 mph. My batteries are 2018 so I think once those go I will be converting to lithium for my next big upgrade. Between now and then I'll just add little things like new bumper, led lights, etc. Couldn't have done any of what I have done so far without searching this forum, so thanks for all the informative post over the years for me to search through. Here is a before and after pic. Next project I will take more pics.
