Default G9 meets 425 Polaris Magnum

I have had this cart for almost 4 years and it has been a blast. I had the stock motor with a buggies unlimited econo lift and 20" tires when I bought it. I just wanted to say this site has given me so much information even though I haven't posted very much I have been so inspired by many of the build on here (Mainly GroundPounder's trail cart) and figured I would share my own. I purchased a 96 Polaris 425 Magnum 4 wheeler for almost nothing. The rearend and transmission in the 4 wheeler were junk but the motor ran great. This is what my cart looked like before the fun began....

First thing to come out was the swingarm and motor.

After I had the old motor out I removed the new donor motor and tried to clean it up since the old owner really over greased the front chain for the 4x4 and oil/dirt was caked on pretty good.

I then had to build a mount for the motor to weld to the swingarm.

Looks good man! I have similar plans for my build cart also... I have bounced a few ideas off of GP also. I'll be watching this build. Make sure to post do's and don'ts! Oh, and lotsa pics!

Be safe!

From there I kinda stalled for awhile, I looked at the swing arm drops and I actually made some similar to the ones THE NEW GUY made. The more I thought about it and studied GroundPounder's photos fo nights on end I decided to 3 Link it. After everything was done I was scaried it would be unstable but once I had the panhard bar in it changed everything. I done think I would want to do it any other way now. Also mocked up radiator and oil tank.

I also welded in new shock mounts and moved the shocks over the rear axle and inward on the rear of the cart.

Tonka, yeah I had seen from some of your posts you had amired GP's trail cart as much as I did. I actually Just have some ebay shocks on there right now. I have the major stuff done and want to ride it around and beat it up for awhile to see what if anything needs to be moved or replaced before I spend some real $$$ on those...

Sounds good! Seems like you have it figured out. What are you using for a welder?
