Default Drive Stereo Hookup

I am trying to install a stereo in a 2012 Electric Drive. It has the premium light/turn signal kit with a battery meter. I am trying to find a constant 12v source for the stereo but am having trouble. I would like to be able to save the presets etc... when the cart is turned off - or is this a bad idea? Any help is appreciated.
