Honda Conversion Kit
Anyone know of a shop in Southern California that sells and installs the Honda conversion kit for the ez-go cart? This is the only place I can find that sells this kit.
http://www.strechplastics.com/Honda%20Motor%20Kit.htm Or, do you guys recommend something cheaper that would be a better bang for the buck? I know if I drop cash into this cart I am never going to get it back. So the cheaper the better. Thank you. |

Re: Honda Conversion Kit
There are lots of options available. The Honda kit you reference is a good one, but unfortunately with the fall of Comet Clutch, none of the Strech kits are available with the clutch now...

Re: Honda Conversion Kit
I am too interested in price. I have also been told if I was to put a motor that big in my cart I would need disc brakes and a roll cage, true or false? I want it to be safe if I'm gonna put my kids in it too. Plus, it doesn't have to be the Honda engine. It's my understanding there are some really good engines out there that are not as expensive like a Briggs.

Re: Honda Conversion Kit
before i give prices what do you want to do with the cart??? we have a few different stages of these kits , we also have a 15 robins engine which is a direct replacement and will do around 30 mph with a 23" tall tire... just takes awhile to get there... yes disc brakes and a cage are always a good thing but not always needed...

Re: Honda Conversion Kit
I'm not really sure what I want to do. I am thinking about selling my cart and buying a RZR. But I like my cart too. I guess it all boils down to price and how much bang for the buck I can get. The motor in this cart is very tired and needs fixing or replacing.
