Default No Power

I have a 85 Electric Club Car. It was sitting for about three years wit no use. I installed new batteries and cables and it worked great for about a week. Now it will not go. It just clicks when the gas is pshed in FWD or Reverse.

Any thoughts on what and how to check would be greatly appreciated.

i'm going to say start with checking all the connections on all the cables.... make sure they are clean and tight.... if that doesn't work then i would say change the solenoid.... anything beyond that.... someone else will have to help ya with

an 85, that solenoid should actually be solenoids.... they are usually the culprit, especially after sitting dead for a few years... not much else on the car to go wrong..

at this point, replacing them all is the way to go..

more than likely the solenoid that is your culprit is the closet to the driver side of the car..

on a solenoid, when the two small post have 36v, the solenoid should click in and give the big post continuity...
