Re: Golf Cart Friendly Campgrounds
I have been looking at all the suggested campgrounds. How about listing ones that have seasonal camping also? I am looking for a place to go for the winter months and it must be golf cart friendly. Here is where we stay in the summers and they love golf carts.

Re: Golf Cart Friendly Campgrounds
Trace,
The town of Grand Rivers requires a inspection. They have very limited requirements, slow moving vehical triangle, orange flag, and headlights. If you call the tourist office they'll send you the requirements. Only thing I had to add was the flag. http://www.grandrivers.org/ Mine has a Honda 20 v-twin and clearly doesnt sound like a stock golf cart but they had no issues with that. The only question they asked is if it was 4 wheel drive because that's not allowed at the campground or in town. http://www.bootsnall.com/camping/p-3...ampground.html We had a great time here and will probly go back again this year. We booked through Reserve America. http://www.reserveamerica.com/campin...O&parkId=71067 When we got there we asked if they had any better sights than what we booked and the folks at the front gate hooked us up with a great site Once you get your inspection, they will give you a sticker and you can run from the campground and around town all you want. Only warning, it is in a dry county so bring your booze with you. And there is no gas available in town. I filled the cart when we got off the highway and never needed to get gas again. Looks like 3-1/2 hours drive for you For me it's, 7-1/2 hours. I'd be there every weekend if it were closer. |
