Re: 2008 Clubcar 48V No charge or Reverse buzzer
Great...Just the lockout side of the obc is bad..You can permanently connect the white and blue wires together on the harness side and plug the connector back in..Just cut the wires and join them together..The cart will charge normally...Just be aware that when the cart is plugged in it can run if someone were to try to drive it away..Make sure to put the cart in tow anytime that you are working on the electrical system...

Re: 2008 Clubcar 48V No charge or Reverse buzzer
Okay fellows, I got the cart going but the charger will not kick on, I have replaced the relay and the bridge rectifier, Does anyone know what the minimum bank voltage the charger or OBC has to see to start charging?
With me jumping out part of the OBC circuit (Blue and White wire) Will that not allow the charger to start??? |

Re: 2008 Clubcar 48V No charge or Reverse buzzer
The OBC has failed. I missed this thread somehow over the last few days, or I would have said that right off.
The charger needs the OBC to provide the negative for the charger relay to turn on. No charger and the cart won’t run, usually means the OBC has failed. You can either replace the OBC, or bypass it entirely and get a new smart charger. |

A new DPI charger is between $250-300 depending where you shop. Personally I’d vote a new charger and bypass the OBC. When I put lithium batteries in mine, I sold my stock charger for 150 that could help offset some of the cost as well.
