Default EZGO TXT 2006 headlights keep blowing

I just replaced my 2006 ezgo txts batteries, everything else on the cart works fine, but whenever i first turned the cart on, both headlights blew at the same time. i just got two new headlights and only put one in just to make sure it worked, and that one blew too.

Hooked the headlight wire to wrong battery terminal. Headlight wire only supposed to draw from 2 batteries. If hooked to 3 batteries, super bright lights wit short bulb life. If hooked to 4, 5, or 6 batteries, blown bulbs (I have seen the bulbs literally explode).
