Drove around for an hour today. Added a bit of speed to the 40s. The cart seems excellent. Very nice steering. I was worried about it turning into itself. Not.
Let go of the wheel and it straightens right up. Good front wheel clearance. I'm happy as a pig in s#!t!. Have a bit of wiring to neaten up. But all works...including Sirius radio! Clutch deals with the weight like it isn't there. Time to fit the rear body and complete. I'd like to use this thing in 3 weeks.

Anyone have opinions re Kool Cart's nice looking seat covers? Gimmie good news...I just pulled the trigger on a set of their saddle brown diamond pleat covers.
I've been shopping and these covers look good to me. Best yet. They look plush. That's about all that's left to resurrect. About to reassemble the floor and firewall.
Bought a rain cover for the cart. The radio may have to be pulled when raining. The guages and switches are marine items and water proof from the front. Bought a marine cover for the radio...should'a measured that puppy before buying. It's single DIN but way too big. Covers up two guages. Sux.
Running great. Found one issue that I figured might happen. The park brake causes the front calipers to seep. I left in in park overnight and they're wet. So that ain't ideal. However, I (being of the creative sort) have bought a 2005 Honda Civic "R" model park brake handle/assembly and another brake cable. You can see where this is going. The KVF700 rear brake has a park feature that uses an extra cable. I'm going to cram the of Honda park brake handle just to the right
of the shifter. It's a sporty little thing. Has a big R on an aluminum grip. Cheap chic.. it'll be a PITA to install.
Not sure what I'll do for amusement when this things done...probably repair it?

Thanks!
I'll get some vids soon as the body is installed. Kinda funky looking as it is. Road Warrior comes to mind.. I was running down the fence line today and people would about stop to see what it was. Looks like a Teryx without a body.

Doubt much hillclimbing or rockcrawling. Afraid I'd twist the Kaw frame out of the cart frame. Bad! Maybe a mud challenge...it'll probably do mud. The overall long wheelbase screws up its offroad usefulness. The long WB is cool on the road. I've had it into the high 40s and it drives well. Feels like a car. Tiny car? It'll top out at about 65. Same as a Kawasaki 750 Brute Force. The engine is a lightly breathed on 750 BF in a 700 frame. 700 frame is for a solid rear axle/swingarm..

Have unmet needs. Simple thing really. My seat base is in poor condition and I'm making another. Any ideas on what sizes the 't' bolt insert sizes might be? And how many of each? I have not torn the seat apart and thought about picking up AM on the way home. Mr. Cartmaster? Thanks in advance!

Belay the hardware question thingy. All sorted out. One end of the seat base is badly rotted. The other end is in good condition. I'll strike a centerline and do a mirror image.
Received the seat covers today. Drop dead nice! Very pleased. Kool Carts got them up here fast. All good.
