Running a sled engine in reverse
I have read a little. Some rotax engine were made for it you just need to modify your ignition so you can time it for the reverse rotation. Anyone ever tried it? I am just thinking for a club car conversion with a CW engine.

Re: Running a sled engine in reverse
On simpler engines, it's not a big deal, but your oil pump, water pump are against it, and rotary valve timing would have to be sorted. Thrust face will be on the hot exhaust side but that should be OK. Some of the 2-stroke sleds with Rotax mills, turn backward for reverse, so it can be done much easier on a reed valve or piston-port engine.
