Default 2006 Club car DS blowing headlights .. any insight?

Lights were working fine . Blew both out.. I replaced bulbs thinking that was problem.. new bulbs came on for a little bit, but blew both shortly after..
Could be bad voltage reducer ?
No other accessories on cart but lights..
Cart is a DS 2006 48v

Where would the reducer be located ?

Thanks for any insight

Look on the frame rail on the drivers side for a box about 6-8”s long with a wire on each end.. One wire will go to a battery and the other end will go to a circuit block with tabs on it. It will look like the picture below..

check your voltage, you may not have a voltage reducer and have possibly moved a wire from 16 volts to 24 volts (assuming 6x8 configuration) or 12 to 24 volts if running 4x12.
i run led lights rarely and a horn on 2 batteries, 16 volts. my led lights are 9-24 volts rated. even a filament bulb should be ok at 16 volts for occasional use, as a car alternator runs 14+ volts. i've run this way for 10 years without any nefarious affect on the batteries

I think this was it.. I had it run through 3 batteries.. not 2 ..
I’ll see how this works.. thank you for the help guys
