Re: hf v twin
I placed an order for one by phone in May. Delivery date was supposed to be June 8th but I didn't receive it until August 2nd. Price was $599 and the salesperson even accepted a 25% coupon. This made it $488 after tax. I just completed the install and removed the governor. The cam gear is steel, the governor and oil pump gear is plastic.

Re: hf v twin
It Runs strong, its a big difference from the 420 predator I just removed. I have a induction tach on order now so i can see what i've been turning it, but don't plan on turning it much more than 4000.

Re: hf v twin
Wow that is much cheaper than I saw them for earlier this year around 800 or so. Geoff says they take some of the clone parts for mods but not heard of anyone doing a lot with them yet...not had time to investigate I suppose either. My 420 stock would pull to just over 4K maybe 4200 or so on my cheap tach then it lost it. HD springs are well worth the low cost if you do nothing else to it other than take the governor off and rejet.
I look for people to mod on them a lot more if they can buy them for <600. |

Re: hf v twin
Attached are a couple photos. As you can see, I relocated the shifter for extra room around spark plug and used the stock muffler. The exhaust exits near rear wheel. I like the sound much better than the 420. It's not as loud and much smoother.
