Default 2005 club car ds

I have a 2005 club car ds. I changed the motor today because the cart was so slow. I bought a Advanced motor from a local cart shop. After I finished the cart ran great. I went down a hill in my neighborhood turned left and dead. I here the solenoid click in forward and reverse. No movement. Any ideas?

Did you check all the cables to be sure they are tight?
There is a nut on the studs on the motor, did you hold the stud nuts to prevent turning the studs when attaching the battery cables?

Like R&T said. If you just installed it you probably left something loose or knocked something loose and didn't realize it. Check all the cables and smaller wires.

How long was the hill and how fast did you go? You could have over revved the motor.

The hill was only about a block long. Was probably going 18-19 miles per hour. I will check all connections today. Thanks.

After more checking on the golf cart is a 1995. I found that there is a purple wire disconnected or broken at the controller. Can someone tell me what that wire goes to and what it controls. It appears that it came off of the B- on the controller. Thanks
