XRT 800 won’t shift
xrt 800 won’t shift while running Idle is set as low as possible and the clutch will still grab the belt making it difficult at best to shift.

Re: XRT 800 won’t shift
Either still idling too high, or the spring in the clutch is worn out.
The carts that idle have a stiffer spring in the primary clutch to keep it from engaging at idle. If the clutch has been replaced before it may have the wrong spring. If it's the original clutch then it probably needs to be rebuilt and have a new spring put in. Also make sure the center bearing on the clutch shaft spins. If that locks up (common) then it will drag the belt and cause similar shifting issues. |

I’ll check both. Do you have a recommended source for rebuild kit or new clutch ?

Make sure the spring on the throttle cable linkage at the carb is present. This pulls the engine revs back down at idle so you can shift. I had the same problem and it was that missing spring.
