99ds,high speed motor upgrade, burning V guide
I put a high speed motor on my 1999 ds. This draws much more current and the V guide will not hold up. Considering a Curtis 1205 500 amp controller. Does anyone know about this controller or have any suggestions?

Re: 99ds,high speed motor upgrade, burning V guide
I would suggest an Alltrax, but that's just me. They have better protection features, like reverse polarity, short circuit protection, and many others that will make a Curtis go up in smoke.

Are you running you high speed motor on a resistor cart? I can’t understand why it would burn up a vglide unless that’s the case.
