We also opt for the 8 6v AGM batteries. No maintenance and longer running time.

Congratulations on choosing AGMs

You are the only one besides myself using AGMs ...I am currently using Crown1
6crv 260Ah ...and for the same reasons..

My current AGMs have been in use for 1 year now...I had them transferred from my previous cart to my new ICON I40...My AGMs now have an accumulated mileage of about 3700 flawless wonderful miles.

When I took delivery of my 1st cart I had it equipped with Crown1 AGM 6crv 220AH. The cart brought a Lester Summitt 2 600w charger...the charging profile was set 22259 the prescribed profile for my Crown AGMs. Unfortunately
the Lester Summitt 2 charger kept repeating phase 2 charging at 67-68v
and would never auto shut off thus ruining my AGM pack...cart would barley
run 2-3 miles....In about 3 months those were toast.

Fortunately Performance Carts credited me back the batteries so the Crown1
AGMs 6crv 260Ah along with an Eagle Pro 4818i charger that was profiled for
my new batteries by Lee Fisher..Fisher Batteries who is also the Crown rep
near me..together with Crown they came up with a charging profile solution for my new AGMs.

Just curious which AGMs did your ICON come with which charger?

I place mine on charge at the end of each day....

For me AGMs are far more reliable than lithium, but while our AGMs are much heavier ( in my case 8x79 lbs = 632 lbs) my cart is still very quick and has
seen top speeds of 28 mph. The only speed limiting factor was run off distance.

In my "hood" there are stop signs about every 100' or so and various hills.
In this stop and go mixed driving I ran a check with my cart a distance of 28.8
miles...weather limited...stop volts 50.4v. According to the Crown Safety First
AGM 50.4 volts is only 20%charge used leaving 80% charge remaining in the
battery pack...Not shabby at all...and as an aside my cart was as quick and
fast as when I first started my test run. No speed drop off here...
As far as amps used vs capacity 81/260ah = .31153

Try that kind of range with plug n play or carts equipped from factory with Lithium...

Just got excited to see another fellow ICON owner with an AGM equipped
cart...Yay!!

My apologies for long reply..

30+ miles on our golf cart and the battery meter says we are at 80%. Now I have plugged in to charge today. We have 8 Nexgen AGM 6v batteries.

That's really good...how many amp hours are your batteries rated at?

And I'm pretty sure your cart wasn't slowing down one whit...

To make room for my 8x6 volt pack the onboard charger had to go...
How was room made for your 8 batteries?
