Default Camo paint scheme

MY pal has a Jeep body kit on the way and he wants it to look like an old army jeep. It is described as "in gel coat suitable for final finish". There was a choice of colors so we ordered army green. He was hoping since it's green he could just add some decals and be done. I'm pretty sure the gel coat will be rather glossy and not quite the look we want.

I found these Rustoleum army paints at Home Depot. Would these be suitable for golf cart finishing? Any other tips or ideas?

If the body is the right color green but too glossy you could scuff it with a 3m trizac disk. They make a 3000 and 5000 grit. That would dull it up nicely. If doing a multi color scheme they make matte finish clear coats. Sounds like a fun project.

If your gonna do a true cammo.....and not just green.....start with the dark colors first and then spray your cammo colors of lighter color paint, like the green. next and then the light brown.

I'm no expert at this but my wife was a life art teacher and knows colors well. She did a Savage rifle plastic stock for me that turned out wonderful!

The body arrived and while he did dye it green, it's not anywhere near army green. Doesn't matter since it is a rough fiberglass casting and needs some filler and finishing to look nice. Here's a picture.

I think we will just do a solid green in matte finish. This paint looks promising:

I'm going to buy a can today to try it. Were only working on it during the weekends so we won't get to painting until next week at best.

Original eBay listing:

The back fits well, but the front flares wide and I have to push really hard to line up the right side. I worry it will crack either while assembling or later when hitting pothole or something.
