Update. After checking everything I possible could and eliminating everything but the voltage regulator, I decided that was the problem. Got the new one put on today and sure enough that was the problem. Thanks bigstik40 for your help!

I have a G9 and s/g is putting out 17 and change new voltage regulator and still not charging the battery. I assume i have an issue with power from my r/w wire to vr. Not sure what the brown and green do. Any thoughts?
