Default digital battery meter

How much wiring is involved in changing from a stock battery low indicator on a Precedent to a display with seven segment LED's?

Why wouldn't you just get a digital meter? SO much more accurate than a bar meter...
And the wiring should just shook from the old one and hook back up to the new one..

A seven segment display is another term for digital meter. I was wondering if it is as simple as taking the two wires off existing indicator and putting them on new display, or do new wires need run, or are there two wires on the existing harness I can use. Lastly, I would like it to come on with the key and not be always on.

There are several good recent threads with pics describing digital meters and how folks approached their installations. You definatly will not go wrong with a scottyb meter. My crew has been drilled on how to read it and to know when to charge.

Do a search, I was once told you can not disconnect the low bat indicator.

The low batt indicator is not a meter source. It is a warning light (an idiot light if you will) which is connected to the OBC wire harness.

There is a battery meter source behind the dash in your cart. See attachment.
