Body prep
I have a CC 2008 I think the body is fiberglass A couple years back I copied Kevin's advice for prepping a plastic body for painting Could this same process be used for a fiberglass body? Scuff, wax/grease remover, body work, adhesion promoter, prime and paint gonna try this myself since I'm old, and poor! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Body prep
It's a plastic body but CC puts some type of adhesion promotor then paints them. I would take Kevin's sound practices and go for it.. Try not to get down to the plastic.

Re: Body prep
A fiberglass body would be prepped and painted just like a plastic body minus the adhesion promoter. Yours is a plastic body however as TPG said so don't forget the promoter.

Re: Body prep
you bet. I usually look in the paint and body section of the design center if you have any more questions.
