Default Re-drilling golf cart wheels for go cart axle

Hey guys, I am putting a Suzuki twin cylinder 2 stroke motor in an old electric EZ go, so I am mounting a go kart axle and carrier I have in back. I want to use the standard wheels and tires since their in nice shape, but I don't know how to go about drilling new holes to match the 5 lug hubs on the new axle

Please don't try this, get some adapters made. Much, much safer. You will probably need to space the wheels out anyway, so two-for-one. Try these guys, others here have recommended them for custom applications like yours. Won't be cheap though.

Expensive is a dirty, dirty word . My neighbhor is a machinist so maybe he could help me out. The wheels are spaced out perfectly now, maybe a little too wide.

I hear ya! I just don't like the idea of putting more holes in the rim, and the chances of getting them perfectly concentric are slim. Maybe you could find some rims the right size that match the cart configuration. Let me know if you need some help with that, I have a list of ATV wheel patterns somewhere.....
