Default Best axle for 100hp bike motor

building a lifted golf cart. Its a old club car. I have a trx250 front end of a four wheeler with 8" custom extended a arms lol. Now I have a yzf600r motor round 100hp. Gonna bulid a rear swing arm and want to know whats a good diecent priced axle to get. Was looking a mini sprint car axles but were runing in the upper 900 range. Wouldent mind a 1 1/4 keyed axle but wheres best place to get one. My front end is about 53" wide. Thats with little mock up tires on it. Will be wider any suggestions???? Will post pics soon.

I love the look of the Caroche club car. You've picked a nice one.

I have no advice to offer on the axle, but I think you have a lot of potential with this build.

Good luck and keep the pics coming!

I just saw another thread on the mini sprint axle question.

mini-sprint-axle.html

Maybe that will help you in your build.

There are some places in AZ that have axles for buggies they run in the desert there, desert karts maybe. Some have half shafts for long travel. Others just use an ATV solid sprocket axle and add outboard bearings to support it better.

Thanks been looking. Managed to fire the motor up on the ground runs mint. PLanning on mounting it this weekend. Im mounting the motor solid but it will sit low enough so i dont loose tension on the chain. Then will make a swing arm that raps around the motor. Just sucks that the club car frame is all aluminum.

Motor finally mounted. Still have some bracing I want to do. Gonnna set up linkages and mount rad. Gauges, turn signals, radio all that good stuff. Thinking of making a wood grain dash out of old barn wood and stain it up nice. Still looking for axles. found a 1 1/4 axle of off hyper racing i might go with. Im probly gonna draw something up in solidworks and get cut on the tube laser at work for my rear swing arm. With adjusters. Still got alotta work to do. But keeps me outa trouble. lol

Look up "slinger warehouse" they sell parts for a race car called a Tobias slingshot. They sell 1.25 axles and everything you could need for a rear end including brakes and hubs and even use the same bolt pattern as a golf cart.

Looks like the mount has plenty of bracing. That should work well having it that low it will be near axle height.
