Talking did I strip a gear in rear axle?

Have 86 ez-go 36v.marathon. I was backing up, then shifted forward while still rolling, cart let out a loud whinning noise and wont move, motor spins but she dosent roll. Need to know step one and most likely problem, other than dont do that again

Pull off the hubcap and look at the axle shaft and nut while some one pushes the gas peddle ... it will be one side only...

Thanks so much for the quick reply! pulled off hub caps and pressed gas, right rear axle nut spins.

Bingo !!!
Pretty common ..... go find another or new break drum.....
Torque on that nut durring re-assembly is like 175 pounds.... Some one can correct me if they have the book handy... I am working from memory...

I'm not worthy!!!! You were dead on, took all of five min. .....on the road again!. I was sure this would be some kind of big project. thanks again.
