Default Rear axles for precedent & DS

Are Precedent gas & electric rear axles the same? What year axles fit a precedent/DS (200? Anyone know the length of passenger side precedent axle?

Comparing my 2007 DS Illustrated Parts List, and an 08 Precedent IPL...

The Gas transaxles/axles on the DS and Precedents are the same,
The Electric transaxles/axles on DS and Precedents are the same,
But, the Gas and Electrics are different from each other!

Does it say if their lengths are different or the splines (gas vs. electric) ?

If your thinking of using a passenger side axle off a gas DS, and put it on an electric Precedent...
Don't bother... it ain't gonna work!

The splines and the lengths are different in electric vs gasoline axles. The gas cars have almost always used Kawasaki drive units and the electric cars used Graziano since around 1999-2000 or so... The gas cars started using a Graziano drive unit a couple of years ago, but it wasn't used in every car, only a few here and there. It's not the same as the electric drive unit though. Gas cars have transmissions built into their drive units unless you want to go way back to 1996. These older cars had an external transmission bolted to them in place of an electric motor.

Thanks Dawg, does that mean a 1996 or older axle would fir the Precedent electric?

Really, so a club car axle that says gas 86-96/electric 85-96 would fit any year precedent?
