Hyundai cart restoration

New here, but found the site helpful and thought I'd document some of my own finds for this fairly uncommon cart.

Current issues I'm working through:

-voltage regulator sending battery 17+ volts
-smells of gas
-seems to run rich
- touchy throttle
-shocks are shot
-add back seat
-add amp and sub

Already resolved:

King pin and bushing replacement
Fit 14" wheels with low profile tires
Wired in stereo
Wired lights

Still have to figure out the abrupt engagement from a stop, but Im working on the air ride now. Here it is as laid out as it can go without any front modifications made to clearance. It should go lower if I narrow the front or do some body work.

New voltage regulator also solved the over voltage issue.

Welcome! That looks like a fun project. Reminds me of the Yamaha G2/G9 body style.

It seems to share a lot of components with the Yamaha G2. For example it has G2 Rear shocks, but at all 4 corners.

Some of the old hitachi? voltage regulators were adjustable, for sure on the G1.
the cover would come off and you could adjust it with the small slotted screw.

Golf courses would bump up the voltage to help keep the batteries charged on those short runs

I didnt see any adjustment on this one when I opened it up, but that is good to know.

Front air ride is installed and controlled by a schrader valve for the time being. They were a drop in fit running them upside down to typical. Ill use the same air shocks for the rear but will require trimming the sleeve down.
