I ordered a motor rebuild from EMP today. They are sending me a shipping label to send my old motor to them. I talked to Andrea and she estimated that at 60v I should be in the mid 20's in the torque mode and low 30's in speed mode. Andrea was very helpful, and I would recommend them to all. I asked for them to build motor to hold up to 72v. I didn't ask for speeds at 72v but I guessing mid 30's in speed mode. Sounds like fun.

OK guys I ask Andrea at EMP about their JB845 motor for my G8 and she told me with the 2 speed design motor could be updated to 48 volts. My question is, would it be a waste of time to update if I use 4 12 volt batteries?

As long as you use 12v golf cart batteries, you will be fine. A little less run time than 6v or 8v. Marine deep cell batteries won't hold up for long in a cart, not recommended, but if you have an unlimited source for them, go for it.

I have to put my 2 cents in here. I have 6 12 volt meg trons in my Mud BUggie which are trolling motor batteries and they are 3 years old almost 4. I have enough toque to make some small cars look sick. I have the D&D motor in it which they built for 72 volts. Top speed ant nothing to brag about 22MPH but getting there is.
