New shifter

hey im new here and was wandering if anybody has or has seen this new shifter. im a machinist and have made all the mods on my cart so i think i can make one of this but how does it work. our shifters move side to side and this one moves front to back. do they use cables or what. thanks

Remove the stock shifter knob, You will need to make a flat plate to mount the stock shifter assy. under the seat at 90 degs so it faces right or left. Build a linkage set up to go from it to the shifter. I did a rough and very basic sketch awhile back, See if I can find it.

You would have to determine the throw of the shift shaft as well as the shifter to keep it inside the console but this is the jest of it.

awsome thanks. i had come up with one using existing location and a small u jount but a guy at buggies unlimited said he had bought one and would send me pics. but sounds like what you said is how they make them. thanks
