Default GX440 Gen. 2 Updates

Sorry for the delays guys, I have some great news about the next generation of 440s, its going to be another 5 weeks since I missed my last container, however...it will be worth the wait. Improvements include:

1. 4.410" Connecting rod (You can now use a GX390 Billet rod without decking the block 0.020".

2. Engines now come with Flat-Top pistons and 10:1 compression out of the box.

3. Engines now have 4 head dowel pins instead of 2.

4. The exhaust retainers and lash caps are now used on the intake valves as well.

5. The crank snout has been shortened to 2-5/16" so it will fit a go kart clutch without having to be cut down, or you can use a CPP clutch adapter without having to cut the shaft.

6. Factory Timing has been raised from 21* to 28*

7. Engines now come with HEAVY DUTY 6mm Chromoly Pushrods (4 different sizes available)

8. Engines now comes with a carb and flat-style airbox.

9. The resistor spark plug boot has been changed to the black plastic non-resistor type.

10. All engines comes with 38lb HD valvesprings.

11. NEW 10-Bolt HEAVY DUTY crankcase, our new block is significantly stronger than any other 7-bolt block on the market. Its been thickened in many key places and has 3 more bolts on the side cover and extra webbing around the cylinder. It has also been shot-peened. Also take a look at the mounts on the top of the block where the gas tank would go, they are flat and much cleaner looking.

12. For the Golf Cart crowd, we will have a 1:10 x 30mm Tapered crankshaft available as an option for no additional charge. Great for those who want to use their stock clutch and not pay for an adapter or cut the shaft down.

The price will be going up slightly, however, the bang for your buck will be unmatched.

-Geoff

Same power. More robust.

Pricing will be very close to what it is now, maybe a $15-$20 increase.

I really like the 10 bolt side cover. You can see the block flex at about 6500rpm. That should help.

When you get them in I'm down for one. I'll spin it to 7k and see whats what.
