Re: EZGO running very slow
Here is the latest update following my most recent discovery from my previous post.
I put on a brand new solenoid. ran another diagnostic on it and it gave me a 3-2 again. I was wondering if that fuse or resistor thing that wraps around and bolts to both sides is blown or damaged? Do any of you know if that might be my issue now? thanks, Bentley |

Re: EZGO running very slow
I think we need to know which 2 wires had melted together so we can know where the short was? A picture would be worth a million words. lol

Re: EZGO running very slow
Here is the new solenoid installed....On the old one, the small red wire wraping around to the right was resting on top of the end(metal part) of the blue wire and melted to where they were touching. You can see where I taped the red wire. That was the only place the there was contact. I hope this helps.
Thanks again |

Re: EZGO running very slow
Yes, that helps. The blue wire is from the controller, it is the trigger for the solenoid. Try removing the resistor (big posts) and diode if you have one on the small posts? I didn't see a diode. Try removing them and see if it drives. Hopefully the controller is okay

Re: EZGO running very slow
I removed this...I think this is what you were referring to. I ran it again and is still going slow and is putting off 3-2 beep in diag mode. It also ran slow out of diag mode but beeped twice when I applied the brake.(not sure what that is either)...I appreciate everyones help with this....thanks

Motor brushes, have you checked? Could be worn out.

Re: EZGO running very slow
Just incase anyone wanted to know, I found the problem. I burned up my controller when I had all that weight on the cart riding off road. I was getting a false reading from my diagnostic. The solenoid turned out to be fine. I replaced the controller with a 400 amp Alltrex and it runs great!
I appreciate everyones assistance with this. thanks again, Bentley |
