non steer axle conversion to steer axle
need some input on trying to make a nonsteer axle into a steer axle for a golf cart wanna do a special build. thinkin i could modify cv axles and make knuckles, try and find a honda hub that bolts to the knuckle.. any thought on how this could be done is appreciated

Get a 4wd quad front-end.Use a small 12volt hyd. pump(power-tilt for a boat?)Mercruiser unit is tiny.Mount a double-acting hyd.cyl. for your steering and hook it to a double-pole toggle switch to reversing polarity(steer-direction).

How about seperate braking for steering the rear axle. Super simple. Would be like a zero turn mower.

No quads i know of with a solid front-axle.But you could put a strut in place of the shock to lock it,or just use the drivetrain without the suspension.

my 1986 honda fortrax 350 4x4 has a solid front axle when the motor goes in it the axles are going under a golf cart
