Thanks HC. The wheel deal was a real deal. Turns out only the 112 and the 312 are actually 5/2 neg. The 312's are just too ugly. Hated to get the same wheels as your cart but didn't have any choice in the end. You doing anything new to yours or just enjoying the fruits of your labor?

Cool!! That'll give you sme go to go with the show. Can't wait to hear how that works out. I'm going to start tearing mine down tonite and start down the chassis road. Prolly won't be ready for controller etc... for several weeks. Anxious to see how it goes with yours. I'll be watching.

Golf Cart brakes are made for 10mph carts.... double your speed and you have half the braking power you need These hydraulic brakes are the best the industry has to offer. They exert more power than the cable operated type.

Was pretty cool to me that the deciding vote on the 4 wheel brakes last night came from my wife. She knows me well enough to know that being able to stop is an important thing.

My goal with this build is to basically upgrade every area of the cart. Why in the world would I leave out the brakes? The rear cable discs, while better than stock seemed inadequate for the increased speed. The front discs only were an option but given the weight distribution of a cart, I doubt that they could be balanced to work with the rears on a road cart. It was really a no brainer to me. Had to be 4 wheel hyd. discs.

Terry, your sepex PDS cart will react differently than Hotcat's Series cart to the same amperage. The PDS can do more with less amps on the road. The trouble with PDS is off road or High speed over-revving like running 30 mph down hill with stock size tires.. 400 amps programmed properly will give you about 24mph on stock 18" wheels... ask the ezgokid. He just made this simple upgrade to a 2005 PDS.

I knew HC's was a series. Wasn't sure of the differences in contols.

Still thinking that maybe 24mph is not enough. We'll see when I get to that part. It'll be a few weeks I'm sure so I can save a little more and hopefully move the Harley.
