Default Yamaha G14 Vanguard 18

As some of you know I’m building a VC 460 for my club car but I’ve been wanting a yammy because my CC rides like a log wagon so anyway I stumbled across this little jewel last week and the price was right so I bought it now I’m wanting to build it instead of the CC but I’m torn between putting in the 460 or rebuilding the VG 570 that’s in it (it smokes some ) so right now either way the VG needs to come out

Put some new rings in the Vanguard and add a rev kit. Then look for a 2 barrel set up You'll be glad you chose that route.

Yes. Could be a head gasket. Compression should be around 165. A complete gasket set for this motor is around $80. That's gaskets, seals and everything needed. Kit comes with four head gaskets. What clutch is being used?

Idk what kind of clutch is on it now but it’s no good it revs really high before engaging but I have a brand new 780 comet on hand
Also where’s the best place to get gaskets and replacement parts ?

Might be a 94c Duster on there. If so, they are completely tunable. I'm a fan of the 780. I run one on both of my Vanguard carts. Let me get you a link for the gasket set.

Nice cart! I agree, fix the Vanguard and you'll be a happy camper. I have a complete 2 barrel carb setup if you are interested.
