Air Filter (performance)
I'm thinking of removing all the factory air box and just adding a KN airfilter to the end of the carb on my 86 G1-AM. I know a little about 2 strokes and don't see where this would hurt anything, but wanted to make sure this thing ain't tuned for that big factory airbox.
Also, what's the box behind the carb that has the yamaha logo on it? I'm guessing this is like a roost boost on a dirt bike....kind of like an extra plenum for the 2 stroke motor. |

Re: Air Filter (performance)
Should work, you may have to re-jet the carb.
